About Lady Of The Lakes Candles

Maine Candle Company was founded in 1986. Like all candle companies, it started one candle fragrance at a time. As the company grew and thrived, so did the manufacturing facilities.

In 2005, the Maine Candle Company was purchased and moved to Michigan. The company was renamed "Lady Of The Lakes Candle Company".

We take great pride in our hand poured candles, which assures quality control throughout the process. We work with aroma experts to develop our own unique scents using only the highest quality oils. Our candles will burn even and our fragrances lasts from beginning to end. The paraffin and dyes are also the finest grades the market has to offer. Our wicks are zinc (not to be confused with lead). The wick has a cotton outer braid surrounding a thin filament of zinc. Zinc core wicks produces the coolest flame and offers the most rigidity of all cored wicks, providing support during pouring and burning.
